If this new The Exorcist figure doesn’t make your head spin with delight, we might just have to call a young priest and an old priest, because this thing is a beauty! Well, as beautiful as a pea-spitting, demon-possessed teenager can be.
We got a close-up look at this beauty at San Diego Comic-Con this year, and now Sideshow has dropped the details on its upcoming Regan MacNeil Deluxe Sixth Scale Figure. Collectors, consider yourselves warned: this one has all the creepy details that make you want to clear some space in your display case and maybe leave a little holy water nearby.
FROM THE PRESS RELEASE: Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, this deluxe collectible brings William Friedkin’s 1973 horror classic to life with two interchangeable portraits capturing different stages of Regan’s demonic possession. The less-possessed look features dark eyes, bleeding wounds and a more natural complexion, while the full-on demonic version comes complete with piercing yellow-green eyes, discolored teeth and mottled skin. Both portraits feature soft synthetic hair for an extra dose of unsettling realism.
Regan’s iconic blue and white nightgown, complete with green stains and sculpted wrist bandages, finishes off the look. The deluxe set also includes a recreation of her four-poster bed, complete with fabric pillows and blankets, plus a magnetic support system to recreate the infamous levitation scene. Two pairs of magnetic, seamless bare feet allow for standing or floating poses, while three pairs of interchangeable hands offer even more display options.
Of course, what’s a Regan figure without a little Captain Howdy? The set includes a floating Pazuzu head on a clear stand, bringing another memorable piece of the film’s nightmare fuel to your collection. A standard black hexagonal display base is also included.
Let’s be honest, horror collectibles can be a serious addiction, and The Exorcist has the kind of staying power that keeps fans coming back decades later. We wouldn’t be surprised to see collectors keeping a close eye on this release for years to come, although future resale values are never guaranteed. If Sideshow ever gives us Father Merrin and Father Karras figures to go alongside Regan, we might just be possessed into buying the entire set.
The Regan MacNeil Deluxe Sixth Scale Figure is now available for preorder through Sideshow.com. The power of Christ compels you to check it out!
