Queens of the Stone Age are giving us another reason to crank up the volume this spooky season, and we’re asking the same question Josh Homme is: WHERE THE GOTH GIRLS AT? The band’s latest single comes with a zombie-esque horror video that feels right at home during Halloween season, and we’re pretty sure George A. Romero would appreciate the undead vibes.
The track appears on PERFECTH, the band’s ninth studio album, arriving October 30 via Matador Records. The nine-song record follows 2023’s In Times New Roman… and features previously released singles “Insignificant Other” and “Easy Street,” which features Nikki Lane. Produced by Homme and Queens bassist Michael Shuman, the new album draws inspiration from kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Its songs explore love, loss, desire and the hard lessons that come with putting the pieces back together.

The music video takes that inspiration into stranger territory, with a deserted power plant, goth girls calling the shots and a transformation that gives the whole thing a horror movie feel. The video was directed by Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski and features comedian Steve Agee, dancer and artist Scarlett Kapella, singer and actress Lou Lou Safran, and members of the band.
The new single has already made its live debut, too. Queens of the Stone Age took the stage on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, October 21, delivering the first live performance of “Where the Goth Girls At?” ahead of the album’s release. As expected, the performance was dark and moody and everything you’d expect from Homme and crew. Queens of the Stone Age have always had a knack for making their sound feel both strange and irresistible, and this new track is another reminder of just how locked in this band can be.
The band isn’t stopping at the new album, either. Halloween becomes HalloQueen on October 31, with participating retailers hosting special events where fans can hear PERFECTH, pick up exclusive merchandise and purchase a very limited-edition picture disc while supplies last. Costumes are encouraged, so this might be the perfect excuse to dig out the black eyeliner and celebrate the season with Queens. Check the official HalloQueen website for participating locations and details
Fans will also have plenty of chances to catch the band live next year. Queens of the Stone Age have announced a 16-date U.S. tour for May 2027, with Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp joining them on all dates. The tour kicks off May 1 at Viejas Arena in San Diego, followed by a May 2 stop at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, before heading across the country and wrapping up May 24 at TD Garden in Boston. General ticket sales begin October 29 at 10 a.m. local time, with presales starting October 28.
For now, we’re looking forward to hearing the full album and seeing what other strange and wonderful corners Queens of the Stone Age take us into next. PERFECTH arrives October 30 and if “Where the Goth Girls At?” is any indication, we’re in for another intriguing chapter from Homme and company.
