We’re just a few days away from HALLOWEEN, but stores and plenty of other folks are already getting ready for Christmas. It seems like NOVEMBER flies by, and before you know it, December arrives with all its jingle bells and fat men in red suits ringing bells outside stores. Well, one figure from Christmas folklore isn’t here to hand out presents. He’s here to deliver revenge and judgment to all. Of course, we’re talking about KRAMPUS!

Universal Horror Unleashed is letting the Christmas spirit out to play in style, announcing the return of KRAMPUS & KIN to its Las Vegas attraction for a limited-time holiday celebration.

As guests enter Universal Horror Unleashed, they’ll encounter eerie holiday music, haunting decorations and familiar characters sporting some rather disturbing holiday alter egos.

In Frost Bite, Dead Storage transforms into an icy feeding ground ruled by the Vampire Frost Queen, alongside her Frost Guard and Frost Stalkers, who will be hunting unsuspecting visitors.

Over at Kill Vault Video, guests can browse holiday horror films before discovering the disturbing secret hidden behind the video wall. Meanwhile, Home for the Horrordays turns Prop Graveyard into a twisted family gathering, where the Twin Sister and Twin Brother welcome their most disturbed friends for a gruesome Christmas celebration.

Near Krampus Haus, Yuletide Legends brings guests face-to-face with Krampus himself, while oversized storybooks introduce visitors to sinister winter folklore. Returning creatures Grýla and Kallikantzaroi will be joined by Mari Lwyd, Hans Trapp and Frau Perchta.

A lantern-lit musical procession will bring these legendary figures together throughout the night, leading to a dramatic lighting moment around Krampus’s towering black holiday tree. Guests can also snap some chilling photos on Krampus’s skull-encrusted throne and beside Grýla’s cauldron.

And what’s a holiday celebration without a little Jack the Clown? Jack and his Maniacs are bringing a sinister seasonal twist to Demented Circus inside Premiere House. Expect high-energy rock music, specialty acts, dark comedy and theatrical kills as the season of giving takes a decidedly gruesome turn.

All that running from winter monsters is bound to work up an appetite. Fortunately, guests can visit Krampus Haus, a Bavarian-inspired beer garden located in Jack’s Alley, featuring four themed food stalls, seasonal beers on draft and specialty cocktails.

The featured food offerings include:

  • The Chains of Krampus: A Bavarian-style pretzel served with blonde ale cheese fondue and Bavarian mustard dip.
  • Naughty, Naughty: Smoked cranberry-glazed chicken drum pops.
  • Feast of the Holy Innards: Spiraled Feuerwurst sausage with fire-roasted pepper relish and Bavarian mustard.
  • Perchta’s Pie: Fried apple pie chebureki with bourbon-spiced vanilla bean icing.

Guests can also purchase a Krampus-themed dining pass redeemable for four food selections, allowing them to choose their favorites or sample several offerings.

The seasonal drink lineup includes Devil’s Blood, a gin cocktail featuring cranberry, citrus, cherry and clove-infused honey; Krampus Punch, a spiced mulled wine; Shot Ski, made with Aquavit; and Nice List, a festive blend of cherry juice, apple cider, orange juice, honey, clove and ginger beer.

Guests must be 21 or older with valid photo identification to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.

Of course, you can’t leave without bringing home a little holiday nightmare. The Krampus & Kin merchandise collection will feature apparel, accessories and collectibles celebrating Krampus and other legendary winter creatures. The collection will be available at the Universal Horror Unleashed retail store.

So, if you’re already tired of the usual Christmas cheer, Universal Horror Unleashed has another way to celebrate the season. Just remember to stay on Krampus’s good side. Actually, we’re not sure he has one.
