A24 has dropped the official trailer for Jeremy Saulnier’s (Green Room, Rebel Ridge) next film, SLAYGROUND, and it starts things off the proper way: with a slaying.
Along with the trailer, we finally have some plot details on this one, and from what we’ve seen, it looks like a must-watch for fans of Halloween-themed horror. Working inside a haunted attraction can be a nightmare all on its own, but things take a much darker turn when the bodies start piling up.

The official synopsis from A24 reads:
“Scare-actor ‘Metal Mike’ Graves wakes up in a haunted attraction surrounded by the dead bodies of his co-workers with no memory of how they got there. As a state-wide manhunt closes in, he races to uncover the truth, even if the trail leads straight back to him.”
The film stars Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, James Badge Dale, Stanley Simons, Stephen Root, Chris Sullivan and Young Mazino. Adding another interesting element to the production, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are handling the soundtrack, bringing their distinctive musical talents to Saulnier’s latest thriller.
With a killer premise, a haunted attraction setting and a mystery that puts its own lead character under suspicion, SLAYGROUND looks like one worth keeping on our radar.
SLAYGROUND hits theaters January 29.
