It seems like no matter how long a horror icon sticks around, eventually they end up in space. Leprechaun, Jason, Pinhead and plenty of other genre favorites have already made the trip beyond Earth. Space is apparently the final frontier for horror, and now our buddy Sam from Michael Dougherty‘s TRICK ’R TREAT is getting his turn.
Legendary Comics has released a new trailer for TRICK ’R TREAT: WITCHING HOURS, giving fans a look at four original stories set within Dougherty’s Halloween universe. While plenty of spooky shit is happening back on Earth, one story sends Sam’s particular brand of Halloween enforcement into the great unknown.

TRICK ’R TREAT: WITCHING HOURS features four stories, each exploring a different corner of the Halloween universe.
“One Last Halloween” follows lonely nursing home residents who summon the spirit of Halloween for one final celebration, with frightening consequences.
“Did You Miss Me” centers on a man who returns from the dead to spend Halloween with his wife, only to discover a horrifying secret.
“Harvest Moons” takes Halloween beyond Earth as kids living on a conservative space colony discover that leaving the planet behind doesn’t mean Halloween has lost its power.
“Halloween Country” follows three Wyoming ranch hands who interrupt an occult ritual and suddenly find themselves hunted by a half formed creature from Halloween folklore.
The graphic novel brings together an impressive creative team, with stories from Michael Dougherty, Todd Casey, Zach Shields, Curtis Waugh and Breehn Burns. Artwork comes from Rafael T. Pimentel, Andrea Mutti and El Garing, with colors by Valerio Alloro.
TRICK ’R TREAT: WITCHING HOURS arrives Oct. 13 from Legendary Comics and will be distributed by Simon & Schuster.
