Spooky season is here, and we know the weather in your area might not reflect that, but never fear, as REGAL Cinemas is showing some amazing classic horror films the entire month of October to get you right for your horror fix. With films like Resident Evil, Whalefall and a few others on the horizon, new horror is firmly locked into theaters once again, but we’re talking classic horror flicks you might not have ever gotten the chance to see on the big screen. That alone should get butts in seats, and let me tell ya, we are already locked and loaded for a few of these showings. Check them out below!

There is something about seeing a horror movie in a packed theater that just hits differently, especially when you’ve already watched the movie a dozen times at home. REGAL is leaning into that feeling throughout October with its 31 Screams on Screen series, bringing a different horror favorite to participating theaters throughout the month.

And this isn’t just a parade of the usual Halloween suspects. The lineup jumps between supernatural horror, slashers, creature features, psychological nightmares and some wonderfully weird choices. Even better, tickets are listed at $7.99, giving horror fans a pretty good excuse to make a few trips to the theater instead of waiting for October to pass us by.

The month kicks off with THE BLACKCOAT’S DAUGHTER on Oct. 1, followed by THE SHINING, BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA, THE CONJURING, POLTERGEIST, THE HAUNTING and CRIMSON PEAK through Oct. 7.

The second week gets considerably nastier with TALES FROM THE HOOD, IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS, PET SEMATARY, DRAG ME TO HELL, THE THING, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER.

Things get even more interesting from Oct. 15 through Oct. 21, with PSYCHO II, a double dose of CANDYMAN, SCREAM 2, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET paired with A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS, THE BLOB, EVIL DEAD and DAWN OF THE DEAD.

Then we hit the home stretch. The Oct. 22 through Oct. 28 lineup includes the director’s cut of CABIN FEVER, the director’s cut of MIDSOMMAR, US, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, CONSTANTINE, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS and IT FOLLOWS.

And because no Halloween movie marathon would feel complete without a few staples, the final three days bring CHRISTINE on Oct. 29, John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN on Oct. 30 and TRICK ’R TREAT on Halloween itself.

REGAL is also making room for younger horror fans with family matinees throughout the month. MONSTER HOUSE, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, GOOSEBUMPS, THE MONSTER SQUAD, THE ADDAMS FAMILY and THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS will make appearances during the weekends.

Of course, participating theaters and showtimes can vary by location, so you’ll want to check your local REGAL before making plans. But with this many horror classics hitting the big screen for $7.99, October suddenly has a whole lot more reasons to leave the house.
