Sometimes the horror news we want most doesn’t come from a studio press release. Sometimes it comes from an actor casually dropping a bomb during an interview and leaving the rest of us scrambling to figure out exactly what the hell they just said.

That appears to be the case with Clint Howard and Ice Cream Man.

The folks over at Playback With Puppets were the first to feature the video online, giving horror fans a rather intriguing glimpse into what Howard may have planned for Gregory Tudor, the delightfully deranged ice cream man he brought to life in the 1995 cult horror film.

Howard discusses a potential follow-up to Ice Cream Man, though it sounds like this may not be the straightforward sequel some fans have been hoping for. Howard details:

“It’s a different plot, and different characters from the original. We have P.J. Soles staring in the picture. I wish I could drop some more news. We have some great moments in the movie with some really fun stuff. We have Danny Trejo is going to be in the picture”

Howard also mentions that Trejo and his character are set to go “nose to nose” in the film with an epic fight scene to follow, so be ready for that one. If that wasn’t enough, Howard goes on to drop the news that Robin-Sailor Zander (Genevieve Callahan) will be in the film as well as providing some music for the soundtrack.

You can tell Howard really enjoys playing this character and will be a producer on the film. A global rap artist named Barbarela is set to be one of the heroines of the picture, along with his niece Paige Howard. You can watch the entire post HERE as Howard doesn’t go into much more detail than that. The footage was recorded on August 8th for a 31st anniversary screening of “ICE CREAM MAN.”

This has us excited for a new take on ICE CREAM MAN and what Howard and company will be bringing to the screen. We just hope that there’s lots of sprinkles, gore, and fun. Oh, and please, no AI, that would really make us scream.
