New Music Friday is here, and we are stoked for this new release from the fuzz monsters known as GRAVEYARD, because they have just dropped a toe tapping tune, “Tongue Tied.” This bad boy is a sonic wall of sound and heavy beats, just for those days where ya need to power through the workday.

If the goal was to shake off the darker mood of 2023’s Six, GRAVEYARD definitely didn’t hold back. “Tongue Tied” comes charging in with a faster pace, pounding rhythm section and enough fuzz to fill the room, giving the Swedish rockers one of their more direct and energetic tracks in recent years.

The new single is the second preview of the band’s upcoming seventh studio album, Fever, which arrives worldwide October 9 through Nuclear Blast Records. The song carries the blues soaked character that has become part of GRAVEYARD’s sound, but there’s a noticeably harder push behind it this time around.

The accompanying video keeps up with that momentum. Swedish director Emil Klinta, whose previous work includes videos for Ghost and The Hellacopters, brings a slick, performance driven visual style to the track that fits the band’s vintage rock and roll attitude without slowing things down.

Behind the boards, “Tongue Tied” was mixed by Pelle Gunnerfeldt, known for his work with The Hives, Refused and Viagra Boys, while Robin Schmidt handled mastering at 24 96 Mastering.

With Fever arriving in just a few weeks, GRAVEYARD already has plenty lined up beyond the record itself. The band will hit the road in Scandinavia alongside Blues Pills following the album’s release, with European and UK dates planned throughout 2027.

For now, crank up “Tongue Tied,” turn it up a little louder than you probably should and get ready for Fever on October 9.

Stream “Tongue Tied” and check out the official video now. Pre orders for Fever are also available through Nuclear Blast Records.
