We’ve been fans of Anne Rice and her worlds for many years. We loved the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire, so when the series was announced by AMC, we were all ears. Since its premiere, we’ve had the great opportunity to speak with various cast and crew members from the series, and we must say, it truly is a passion project for many.

We think this series comes closer to what Anne Rice wanted her vampires to deal with. Yes, liberties have been taken, but only to further the story. The result is a beautifully gothic take on The Vampire Chronicles that gives its characters plenty of room to explore immortality, love, betrayal and revenge.

Now, fans will have an opportunity to bring the first three seasons home. Acorn Media International is releasing ANNE RICE’S INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE COLLECTION on Blu-ray and DVD November 23, 2026. The fangtastic box set includes Seasons 1 and 2 of Interview with the Vampire, along with Season 3, The Vampire Lestat.

We won’t regale you with the full breakdown of each season but here’s a brief rundown for the uninitiated.

The first season takes us to New Orleans in 1910, where successful brothel owner Louis de Pointe du Lac crosses paths with the hedonistic French vampire Lestat de Lioncourt. Drawn into Lestat’s immortal world as his companion, Louis soon discovers that these intoxicating powers come at a deadly price. The arrival of child vampire Claudia sets the trio on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.

Season 2 follows Louis and Claudia through postwar Europe as they attempt to rebuild their lives. Their journey takes them to Paris, where they uncover forgotten secrets and encounter a new vampire community. But will they find the home they desperately seek, and are they truly free from Lestat’s grip?

Then comes Season 3, THE VAMPIRE LESTAT, which takes things in a decidedly different direction. Lestat is ready to tell his side of the story, and he plans to do it the only way he knows how: through a glam rock band and a tour. Channeling his fury into music, the vampiric rock star confronts the darkest aspects of his immortality while revisiting the muses and memories of his rebellious past.

The story picks up following an unexplained global catastrophe before moving back to 2025, when Daniel Molloy’s infamous Interview with the Vampire novel has become a bestseller. Enraged by his portrayal, Lestat, now living in Montreal, sets out to put his own version of events on the record. His deeply personal album explores two and a half centuries of trauma, his connection to the first vampire, Queen Akasha, and his complicated relationship with his mother, Gabriella.

As Lestat’s star power grows, so does his influence over vampires and humans alike. His music inspires an unnatural surge in the vampire population, with disastrous consequences for mankind.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: Season 3 for the series, The Vampire Lestat is being released as an individual Blu-ray, DVD and digital on November 2, 2026.
