Suit up and get ready Spartans, command has issued a massive payload worth of information regarding the next mission deep in occupied Moscow.

Announced earlier this year, Metro 2039 continues the Metro saga. Set four years after the events of 2019’s Metro: Exodus. Players will take control of a new protagonist only known as The Stranger. A former Metro resident who lives in self-imposed exile and is plagued by violent waking nightmares is forced back into the tunnels he swore to never brave again.

A fresh narrative that was co-written by Metro creator/ author Dmitry Glukhovsky. 4A Games and Deep Silver promise a brutal, dark story never seen before in the series. The Stranger must defend against a brutal new regime of Spartans led by their fanatical leader, Hunter.

Hunter unified the fractured factions within the Metro and now uses his influence and power to keep people in line. Using tactics of propaganda, fear and military control his men justify internal discipline by fear mongering the “war on the surface” and suppressing dissent.

Metro 2039 is also going to take full advantage of the current hardware by promising 4K visuals at 60FPS in Performance Mode, with ray tracing to fully immerse you horrifically beautiful world of Metro.

Metro 2039 is slated to be released on February 4, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
